Melissa Hornung was born in Westfield, NJ and raised in the prestine region of the fingerlakes in Skaneateles, NY. She is a classically trained fine artist and has focused much of her attention on realism and is known for her unique photographic style in portraits and equestrian renderings. Most recently, she has branched out into the abstract realm and finding success in a collabertaion of colors, dimension, technic and linear effect to create captivating designs that are both pleaseing to the eye and adds character to any wall space.
The artists experiene in world travel is reflected in her studies of both human and animal kind and through an ellaborate study throughout France, provicial life in Argentina, an old world English Equestrian style and seascapes of both Southern California, Florida and The Hamptons. Her elite clientelle spans the globe to include some famed collectors. Many of her paintings have grazed the pages of Magazines including several covers of the The Dan's Papers, and features in So Scottsdale, Polo Players Edition Magazine, Smart Fem and Her Life Magazines.
Her fine art collectables of acrylic and oil paintings on canvas have become treasured family relics and the focal point for many important rooms.
